University of the Pacific Hearing & Balance Center will be hosting a free event featuring hearing health expert Dr. Brian Taylor on Tuesday, June 5. This event will cover the connection between hearing and cognition, how the brain works to help us hear, the benefits of hearing aid technology, a question and answer session with Taylor, and an open house. The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Chan Family Health Sciences Learning Center, Room PHS 110.
Taylor is the director of clinical audiology for Fuel Medical Group. He has 25 years of clinical, publishing, lecturing, research and management experience. Taylor is the editor of the hearing news section for the blog Hearing Healthcare and Technology Matters and the editor of Audiology Practices, the quarterly journal of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. He is an adjunct professor for AT Still University School of Health Sciences. He’s written dozens of articles and has authored four books devoted to practice management and clinical audiology.
